Track &amp; Know was involved in\u00a0<strong>4 sessions<\/strong>\u00a0during this 3-day flagship event of the European Big Data and Data-Driven AI Research and Innovation community organized by the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) and the European Commission (DG CNECT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a central theme \u201c<strong>Building a strong European Data and AI Ecosystem<\/strong>\u201d, the EBDVF 2020 edition brought together&nbsp;European communities on AI and Data.&nbsp;The event also focused on how Data and AI can help to tackle emerging societal challenges, like those brought by the Covid19 pandemic.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Would you like to take another look at our presentations? Athanasios Koumparos\u00a0<\/strong>from Vodafone Innovus presented the Track &amp; Know project, its challenges and results. This session was also the closing event of liaison project DataBench.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons aligncenter is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q8LgY3tEyaE&amp;feature=emb_logo\" style=\"background-color:#3075b7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Watch this session<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Track 3 &#8211; Transport, Mobility and Logistics &#8211; Main session\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The transformation of the multimodal transportation ecosystem is happening now \u2013 changes are rapid and involve all modes of transportation. New players use the power of real-time data to offer&nbsp;<strong>personalized door-to-door travel and logistics services<\/strong>. At the same time there is an expressed&nbsp;<strong>need for an economical, flexible, safe, and more sustainable way to get from A to B<\/strong>&nbsp;by road, rail or water \u2013 using all available innovative ways since:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>in most EU countries entrants are&nbsp;<strong>challenging<\/strong>&nbsp;the existing transport practices and services naming them as unable to fully satisfy a never-ending demanding audience;<\/li><li>providers leverage the use of mobiles to&nbsp;<strong>create new relationships with travelers<\/strong>;<\/li><li>societies have to reduce their CO2 footprint, thus,&nbsp;<strong>sustainability<\/strong>&nbsp;becomes an important additional aspect of mobility and our mobility concepts;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Big Data, Data Issues and Artificial Intelligence<\/strong>\u00a0can play an important part in achieving this vision.\u00a0<strong>Yannis Theodoridis<\/strong>\u00a0from UPRC joined this session with his presentation which is entitled\u00a0<strong>&#8216;Learning from our movements&#8217;<\/strong>.
